St. Jude Milestones
Delta Delta Delta Fraternity (Tri Delta) officially adopted St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as its national philanthropic partner in November 1999, providing members the opportunity to unite in support of a children's cancer charity. Since that time, Tri Delta chapters across the country have raised money and awareness for the hospital in a variety of ways.
In our first year, 15 chapters raised more than $44,000 for the kids at St. Jude!
Goal: $1 million in 4 years
Purpose: To endow the hospital’s Teen Room
Achieved: Within 3 years (2005)... a year earlier than expected!
Goal: $10 million in 10 years
Purpose: To name the Patient Care Floor in the Chili’s Care Center
Achieved: Within 4 years (by May 2010) — Tri Delta met the $10 million fundraising goal!
Goal: $15 million in 5 years
Purpose: To name the Specialty Clinic located in the Patient Care Center at St. Jude
Achieved: In just 3.5 years, Tri Delta met their $15 million fundraising goal!
Tri Delta received the St. Jude Partner of the Year Award and announced the largest single pledge in St. Jude’s history, receiving prominent recognition on the hospital’s campus at Tri Delta Place, a short-term housing facility.
Goal: $60 million in 10 years
Purpose: To name Tri Delta Place, the on-campus, short-term housing facility at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This is the largest single commitment by a St. Jude partner.
To date, Tri Delta members have raised more than $45 million for the children of St. Jude. This success is only made possible by the deep commitment of the Tri Delta collegiate and alumnae members from around the country.
